You have ten frames with two shots in each. If you get all the pins down in one shot (a strike) in your next frame you get double the points. If you get all the pins down in two shots (a spare) in your next frame for the first shot only you get double the points. The maximum you can get is 300 that's a strike every go. If in the last frame of the game you get a spare or a strike you get an extra shot or two extra shots (one for a spare two for a strike). If you get two strikes in a row its called a double, three in a row is called a turkey, four in a row is called a four bagger, five in a row is a five bagger and so on. Scoring works by adding up the number of pins you score in each frame assuming you don't knock them all down.
