RHS'69

For years, a group of RHS'69 folks have gathered together at the start of the holiday season to give back to others.

Our retired Hawaiian Airlines Captain Harold Fujii makes it happen.

For at least 5 years, with a pause because of COVID, about a dozen or so Class of ‘69ers have volunteered to help with the annual Salvation Army’s Thanksgiving Luncheon.

We volunteer for set up and decorations - starting from 8:30-10:30.  That way everyone after helping still has enough time to get ready for their family Thanksgiving festivities.

Every year we cover around 1/4 to 1/3 of all the tables (depending on the total amount of volunteers), put out place mats, cups & utensils, and decorate the tables.

Everyone enjoys making a difference and the camaraderie that takes place there.

This service project is our small way of giving back.
