November 2 - Day 9

Yokohama

This is sort of a free day. Tour director Bobby Chinen has gathered a group together to tour the city and hit some of the best shopping areas. Later in the day they will be visiting the Kamakura Daibutsu (Great Buddha) followed by more shopping. Nothing formal for lunch and dinner - sort of find your own and chow down.

A brand new day with all of Yokohama to explore takes lots of food.

Looks like it's mission accomplished.

Japan has great manhole covers. City's like Sapporo do pictures of winter or the 1972 Winter Olympics.

Yokohama does whatever.

Nice glasses.

Time to go do something. Which way we going?

Wherever they're going, let's follow them.

The ticket says Kamakura.

Look! Over there! Can you see it? ==>

It's the Kamakura BIG Buddha

Shopping for sharp, pointy things...

...and new shoes

More great manhole covers

Something different for lunch

Fish and squid on a stick

On the train from Kamakura back to Yokohama. Downtime equals checking Facebook

It's moving day once again and the group breaks camp and moves a little over 20 miles up the coast to one of the largest cities in the world...

Dinner. About time.

Everyone wants to know...how was it?
