A Search for Family Roots

U.S. State Department travel advisory: Exercise increased caution in Hong Kong due to civil unrest.

Since June 2019, large and small political demonstrations have taken place in various areas of the city. Some have resulted in violent confrontations between protesters and police.

Ignoring all that, RHS'69 Reunion Committee chair Vincent Yim visited Hong Kong to see and learn about the part of his family he never met.

Back home he removes his flak vest and tells of a wonderous trip.

Another day as the adventure continues.

Breakfast at the Hilton Zhongshan was outstanding. They are right in the center of town and next door to a huge shopping mall.

Seems like every time we find a wonderful hotel we check in a 10 at night then wake up to have breakfast and check out at 8:30 am.

We are heading for Macau via Xinhui Zhuhai and need to change over to a pink bus.

We stopped at a government maintained park - The People’s Freedom Park. It has a secure parking lot, lots of military officers and a well maintained area. Across the harbor is Macau, a gambling meca for Chinese.

We celebrated Mai's 2nd birthday at the park.

Checking into The Parisian Macau, the same owners as the Paris Casino and New York New York in Las Vegas.

A WOW registration front desk.

The view from our room.

Not quite like being in Paris….

Dinner at the hotel’s Buffet Café.

Prime Ribs, Lamb, Pasta, Roast Duck, Char Sui, Flounder, Frog Legs and endless Dessert!

Then you got to walk it off up the Eiffel.
