50th Reunion Events

August 21, 2019 - Wednesday

Today kicked off the various events leading up to the 50th Reunion.

Of course it all began with eating. The Class of '69 can pack it away.

Here they are at the Plantation Cafe at the Ala Moana Hotel.

The nostalgia must have been overwhelming as the former students looked at how much had changed in 50 years. And how much had not.

Good thing they had breakfast.

As you can see, everyone was well fed because they needed their energy for...

...a visit to the old school afterwards!

Police say the suspect always returns to the scene of the crime - and so they have.

The final event leading to the reunion is karaoke. As usual it was held in a dark, noisy place so the pictures are not great. Through the magic of digital photo post-processing we made them sorta better.

Enjoy anyway.

August 22, 2019 - Thursday

Today some attendees of the 50th Reunion are doing the tourist thing.

They're hopping a Robert's Hawaii tour bus for a trip around the island. This is a great idea for some of the '69 grads now living on the mainland.

The 8-hour trip actually goes around half the island since there's no road around Kaena Point, but you get the point.

The whole thing starts at 8:30 AM and lasts for 8-hours.
